    Русский глагол рассматривать многозначен и относится и к физической деятельности — зрению, и к умственной деятельности человекапониманию, осмыслению. Глагол не конкретизирует цели и объекта рассмотрения. Английские соответствия, сохраняя это общее значение рассматривания/разглядывания, уточняют, с какой целью что или кто подлежит рассматриванию, и поэтому могут соответствовать не только глаголу рассматривать, но и глаголам разглядывать, проверять, учитывать и т. п.
